1 lb. chicken livers
3 eggs
1 medium onion, rough chop
3 C flour
1-1/2 T salt
1 t pepper
1 T allspice

Directions:
Directions:
1. In a blender, grind/pulse the first 3 ingredients (livers, eggs, & onion).

2. In a large bowl, combine next 4 ingredients (flour, salt, pepper, & allspice). Stir liver mixture into flour mixture.

3. Fill a Dutch-oven/soup pot with water, approximately 3/4 full. Add 1 T salt. Bring to a simmer.

4. Using a dumpling cutter, add liver mixture to the cutter/1 cup at a time, & "cut" into simmering water. Let dumplings cook for 2 minutes. After they have risen to top of the water, remove from water with slotted spoon/drain in colander.

Dumplings can be reheated with a little water and a spoonful of bacon grease in a large skillet.
