1 PKG BUTTERSCOTCH PUDDING AND PIE FILLING MIX
1 CUP GRANULATED SUGAR
1/2 CUPS FIRMLY PACKED BROWN SUGAR
1/2 EVAPORATED MILK
1 TBSP BUTTER
1 1/2 C PECANS

COMBINE THE PUDDING MIX, SUGAR, MILK AND BUTTER IN SAUCEPAN. COOK AND STIR OVER LOW HEAT UNTIL SUGAR DISSOLVES AND MIXTURE COMES TO BOIL. CONTINUE TO BOIL GENTLY, STIRRING OFTEN UNTIL A SMALL ABOUT OF SYRUP FORMS A SOFT BALL IN COLD WATER(OR TO A TEMP 234º)
ADD THE NUTS AND MIX WELL. REMOVE FROM HEAT AND BEAT JUST MIXTURE BEGINS TO THICKEN. DROP BY TABLESPOON FULLS ONTO WAXED PAPER, MAKING EACH PRALINE ABOUT 3 INCHES IN DIAMETER. LET STAND TILL FIRM. MAKES 18-20 PRALINES.
