Batter: (Do First)
1 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1/2 cup raisins (rinsed)
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp soda
1/4 tsp salt

Syrup:
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
2 cups water

Directions:
Directions:
Bring syrup to a boil in a sauce pan. Then pour into 8 x 8 pyrex or pan that can be used in oven. Drop spoonfuls of batter into hot syrup. Bake at 400º for 20 minutes.

Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
