3 tbsp sugar
1 cup cream (sweet cream or sour cream will work)
3 tbsp sugar
1 cup buttermilk
3 eggs beaten
1 tsp soda
2 tbsp baking powder
5 cups flour
2 cups oil

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs. Add cream, soda, sugar, baking powder, salt and
flour. Add buttermilk alternating mixture to make a soft dough. Knead dough then roll dough in thin layer on a lightly floured surface.

Cut length wise in long stripes then crosswise in strips. Fry in oil-filled skillet (Have oil as hot as for French fries). When golden brown, roll through powder sugar or cinnamon sugar.
