Apple Dumplings Recipe

1 c. water
1 c. sugar
1 stick butter
1 can flaked biscuits (not buttermilk)
Cinnamon
2 apples

Directions:
Directions:
Peel and core your apples, then cut them into 8 slices. Split the biscuits in half and wrap a piece around each apple slice. Place the dumplings in a square baking dish.

In a saucepan, mix the water and sugar, then cook over medium heat until a drop of the mixture forms a soft ball when dropped in a glass of cold water. Remove the mixture from the heat and add the butter, stirring until dissolved. Pour the mixture over the dumplings, then sprinkle with cinnamon to taste. Bake at 350º until the dumplings are brown, about 20 minutes.
