Make angel food cake and let cool. You could use store bought angel food cake. Cut in half. Put thick layer of ice cream in center. Put cake on top. Ice with ice cream. You could ice with cool whip. Decorate for your holiday. Strawberries look pretty on top. Laurette made this for me and it was really good. She thought it was simple.

Advice from Laurette: If someone gives you money for your birthday or Christmas, separate it in your wallet or in an envelope in your purse. Laurette would sometimes make the money into traveler's checks. If you see something you like when you are out shopping or at an estate sale, you can use your special gift money to buy yourself something. That way you won't spend it on the electric bill. And don't forget to send a hand written thank you note promptly after you receive the gift.
