2 - 3 c of sifted self-rising flour (Gold Medal)
1/2 c Crisco shortening
1/2 c Buttermilk
1 rolling pin
9 x 13 light colored baking pan - prevents buttoms from burning
1 large mixing bowl
1 fork

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour, - dump in bowl
add clump of shortening - cut into flour with fork
until small balls form -pour in small amount of
buttermilk, gradually add until sticky - flour a clean
surface - and both hands - dump sticky mixture
kneed until exterior is smooth. Flatten with rolling pin - cut out biscuits & place in pan - Bake -400 til
lightly brown and tops of biscuits slightly crusty.
Remove from oven - place clean towel over pan
and let sweat. Biscuits should stand for 10 minutes before serving. Serve with jam, or syrup!
