1 (1 lb. loaf) Hawaiian bread
2 (8 oz.) packages cream cheese, creamed with ~¾ C powdered sugar & 1 t vanilla
1 ½ C fresh blueberries
12 eggs, beaten
2 C milk
1 t vanilla
½ C maple syrup
½ t salt

1 C white sugar
2 T cornstarch
1 C water
1 C fresh blueberries (round)
¼ C butter

Directions:

Grease 9X13(larger) pan with ¼ C butter. Place half bread cubes in pan and top with cream cheese dollops. Sprinkle with blueberries and top with remaining bread.
Mix eggs, milk, salt, vanilla and syrup. Pour over bread, cover and refrigerate overnight.
Remove from refrigerator ~30” before baking.
350° 30” covered, uncover and bake another 25-30” or until center is firm and surface is lightly browned. (I don’t think that I baked it that long either covered or uncovered.)
Mix sugar, cornstarch and water. Boil 3-4”. Mix in remaining cup of blueberries. Reduce heat and simmer 10”, until berries burst. Stir in butter and pour over toast.
