1 cup butter
1½ cup sugar
2 large eggs
2¾ cups flour
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt

3 tablespoons sugar
3 teaspoons cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°. Cream butter, sugar and eggs thoroughly in large bowl. Combine flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt in separate bowl. Blend dry ingredients into butter mixture. Chill dough and an ungreased cookie sheet for 10-15 minutes. Mix sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Scoop 1-inch lumps of dough into cinnamon sugar mix and roll balls gently, coating with cinnamon sugar. Place on chilled ungreased cookie sheet and bake 10 minutes. Remove from pan immediately.
