2 lb. frozen hash browns, defrosted
1/2 c. butter, melted
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
2 c. grated cheddar cheese
2 c. crushed corn flakes
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Mix potatoes, 1/4 c. melted butter, chicken soup, sour cream, cheese, salt and pepper. Put in greased 9x13 pan. Add 1/4 c. melted butter with corn flakes and spread on top. Bake at 350º for 1 to 1.5 hours.

These potatoes were a must for our family cookbook, as I think they've been served at almost every family gathering.
The cornflake topping is optional. If desired can add 1/4-1/2 c. chopped onion and/or substitute O'Brien hash browns for plain.
