1 c uncooked macaroni
4 c grated sharp cheddar cheese
1 can evaporated milk
2 eggs
1/2 stick butter
1 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cook macaroni til tender in salted water. Drain well. Add 1/2 stick butter to the hot macaroni. Beat eggs with a fork and add the milk to them. Add the cheese to the macaroni and then add egg/milk mixture. Pour into a greased 9x9 casserole dish. Sprinkle extra grated cheese over top and put small chips of butter all over top too.

Bake 350º for 40-45 minutes, until bubbly and still a little runny (you don't want to over bake it).

For a 9x13 casserole, double above recipe.

This is a Powell family favorite; no one has ever heard of macaroni pie outside of the area in S.C. we live in. It is a great side dish for any meal.
