2 Cups Flour
1 Tbsp. Baking Powder
1 tsp. Salt
1 Tbsp. Sugar
½ tsp. fresh minced thyme or ¼ tsp. dried thyme
½ tsp. fresh minced parsley or ¼ tsp. dried parsley
½ tsp. fresh minced rosemary or ¼ tsp. dried rosemary
½ Cup Grated Cheese
1/3 Cup Cold Butter or Shortening
¾ Cup Milk, Sour Milk or Buttermilk (maybe less)

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. In a large bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Cut in the butter until the mixture looks like course meal. Gradually stir in milk until dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl. You may not need all the milk. Turn out dough onto a floured surface. Do not over mix the dough. Pat dough to 1 inch thick. Cut biscuits with a large cutter dipped in flour. Brush off excess flour and place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake about 10 minutes. Makes 6 grand size biscuits or 9 three-inch round biscuits.
