1 cup Hoover’s white meal, fine sifted, not self-rising
1 small can evaporate milk
1 can water
1 tsp. salt
½ tsp. baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together ingredients. Let rise. It will be thick. Get 1 cup of oil in a black frying pan hot on the stove. Dip a teaspoon in water before getting a spoonful of cornmeal. Cook fast.
