2 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp. salt
1 cup shortening
1 egg yolk (with milk to make 2/3 cup)
1 cup corn flakes
8 to 10 pared and sliced apples
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
egg white
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Heat oven to 400'f
mix the first 4 ingredients,divide dough in half and roll to fit a cookie sheet. Sprinkle corn flakes, apples,sugar and cinnamon. Roll out other half of dough and put on top. Beat egg whites and brush on top crust. frost while warm with 1 cup powdered sugar, 1 tsp. water and vanilla
