1 loaf French bread (13 to 16 oz.)
8 large eggs
2 c. half and half
1 c. milk
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
dash salt
praline topping (recipe below)
maple syrup

Ingredients for praline topping (blend all together)
1 c. butter or margarine
1 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. light corn syrup
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
Slice french bread into about 20 slices, 1 inch thick each. Arrange slices in a generously buttered 9" x 13" baking dish in 2 rows, overlapping slices. In a large bowl combine eggs, half and half, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt - mix until blended, Pour over bread slices, covering evenly. Cover and refrigerate overnight. The next day, preheat oven to 350º. Spread praline topping over bread evenly and bake for 40 minutes. Serve with maple syrup.
