1 1/4 c. Warm water
1 pkg. Yeast, scant 1 tbsp.
2 tsp. Sugar
3 1/2 c. Flour
1 1/2 tsp. Salt
2 tbsp. Oil
1 Egg, beaten with 1 tbsp. milk (for glaze)
Coarse salt

Directions:
Directions:
Place 1/4 c. water in bowl and sprinkle with yeast and sugar. Stir to dissolve, let yeast poof until bubbly about 10 min. Add remaining c. of water, 3 1/2 c. flour, salt and oil. Stir to combine well. Turn dough onto lightly floured board kneading until elasticy slowly add more flour to prevent sticking. Lightly grease baking sheets with butter. Divide into 24, roll into 10" strips, shape into pretzils put on baking sheet. Cover with towels, put in warm place until fluffy. About 15 min. Remove towel and brush with glaze, sprinkle with salt. Bake at 425 for 15-20 min.
