6 oz Diced Bacon
8 oz or 1 c. Onions, Peeled, Ends removed, Sliced
3 lbs. Red Cabbage, Washed, Cored and Shredded
3 tbls. Sugar
2 c. Chicken Broth
Pinch of Allspice
Pinch of Cinnamon
Pinch of Nutmeg
1/2 c. Cider Vinegar
1 c. Port Wine

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Render bacon in large oven proof skillet. Add onions and cook until soft. Add cabbage, sugar, stock, spices, vinegar and port wine. Mix well to coat cabbage. Cover and braise 20 minutes. DO NOT over cook.
