As many potatoes as people eating dinner (peeled and sliced) 4 - 6 slices of bacon, fried. Crush bacon and leave some grease in pan or wipe out bacon grease and add olive oil. Place sliced potatoes in pan along with one large onion thinly sliced. Cook under almost done. Place Polish sausage on top of fried potatoes and onions and cook with lid for about 1/2 hour. Amount of sausage rings depend on the amt. of people.

Large frying pan to accommodate sausage and potatoes. Better if one uses a non-stick skillet.

Simple old family recipe. My mother's mom was born in Switzerland where lots of sausage (wurst) was eaten.
