Ingredients:  
6 strips of bacon
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup vinegar
2 heads red leaf lettuce
1 bunch green onion

Directions:
Directions:
Cook bacon until crisp. Break into small pieces. Wash and tear lettuce leaves. Add sugar and vinegar to saucepan and cook until it has a syrupy texture.
Add sliced green onions to torn lettuce. Pour syrup over lettuce and toss.

My grandmother would pick the red leaf lettuce out of the garden and make this salad for dinner.
