½ c. milk
½ c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
½ c. margarine or shortening
½ c. warm water
2 pks. Fleischmann’s Active Yeast
2 eggs, beaten
4 ½ to 5 c. flour
½ Gossipy Sweet Bun dough
elted butter or margarine
½ c. brown sugar or white sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
Topping
1/3 c. flour
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
½ tsp. cinnamon
Confectioners Sugar Frosting

Directions:
Directions:
Scald milk; stir in sugar, salt and margarine. Cool to lukewarm. Measure warm water into large, warm bowl. Sprinkle in yeast; stir until dissolved. Stir in luke warm milk mixture, beaten eggs and 1 c. flour. Beat until smooth. Add enough additional flour to make a soft dough. Turn onto a lightly floured board; knead until elastic and smooth about 8 minutes. Place in greased bowl, turning to grease top*. Cover let rise in warm place, free from draft until doubled in bulk, about 1 hr. Punch down, let rise until about doubled, 30 minutes. Turn out dough onto lightly floured board. Divide for desired buns.
Roll dough into 18x9 inch rectangle. Brush with butter. Blend ½ c. sugar and 1 tsp. cinnamon. Sprinkle evenly over dough. Roll up from long side as for jelly roll. Cut into 1 inch slices. Press pencil almost through roll going parallel to cut sides. Invert and turn cut surface up. Place on ; greased baking sheets. Rub together.
Topping (above) Sprinkle over buns. Cover; let rise until doubled, about 30 minutes. Bake at 350ºF; 10 minutes or until done. Drizzle with frosting. Makes 18 buns.
Frosting: 1 c. conf. sugar with 1 Tbsp. milk, ½ tsp. vanilla
Beat until smooth. Frost buns while very warm.
