1 stick oleo
1 c. dark brown sugar
1 c. water
3 egg yolks
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pinch of salt
Topping:
3 egg whites
1/2 tsp. cream of tarter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Melt in double boiler oleo. Add sugar & melt then add water.
In separate bowl, mix egg yolks, cornstarch, milk & vanilla. Add to pan mixture and cook until thick. Top with: beaten egg whites & cream of tarter. Slowly add sugar & vanilla. Brown in oven @ 350ºF.
