Bread Crumbs

I find that the packaged croutons and bread mixtures are very strong. What I prefer to do is to put stale bread in the oven, (watching religiously) at 225 degrees and allow to dry and crisp. Then break the bread into chunks and put in a Cuisinart, turning off and on quickly. They will last well in jars, tins or sealed storage bags for future use... a real time saver. This is so easy, you start to have self-satisfied fun at no cost!
