4 Vidalia onions sliced VERY thin
2 cups water
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon celery salt
1 tablespoon celery seed

Directions:
Directions:
Soak onions in water, sugar and vinegar for 6 hours (or overnight) in refrigerator. Drain well.

Mix all else. Pour over onions and stir. Chill well.

Put in glass bowl and serve with Melba Toast Rounds or crackers.
