Directions:
Scald milk. Add sugar, butter, and salt. Cool to lukewarm. Add 1/2 cake fresh yeast (or 1/2 package quick dry yeast) dissolved in 1/4 cup luke warm water and reduce milk to 1/4 cup. Stir until blended. Beat and add the eggs, then flour to make a stiff dough. Put into a deep greased bowl. When it doubles in bulk, punch dough down with spoon. Pour into a well greased square or bread pan. Let double in bulk again; takes about an hour. Bake in 350º oven for 30 to 40 minutes. Grease the top with butter 1 or 2 times during baking. Serve hot.
