6 cups water
1 1/2 cups regular grits (not instant or quick cooking)
1 tsp salt
4 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1 (4 oz) can chopped green chilies
3 eggs, beaten
3/4 cup butter
1 1/2 tsp garlic or onion salt
Dash of Tabasco sauce
1 (2.8 oz) can French's Original French Fried Onions, crushed

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. In a large saucepan, bring water to a boil, add grits and salt and return to boil. Reduce heat to medium and cook, uncovered, 5 minutes or until thickened. Remove from heat. Add cheese, chilies, eggs, butter, garlic salt and tabasco.
Pour into a greased 13x9" baking pan and bake 50 minutes.
