2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 T. sugar
1/4 c. shortening or butter
2/3 c. milk
Filling:
3 c.peeled, shredded apples
1/2. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
Glaze:
1/2 - 1 c. powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together first four ingredients. Cut in shortening and add milk. Knead gently. Roll 1/4 inch thick the size of a cookie sheet pan. Brush dough with melted butter.
Filling: Combine ingredients and spread on dough. Roll dough in jelly roll fashion and put on a greased cookie sheet pan. Can formed the jelly roll dough like a semicircle and then put on a greased pizza pan.
Bake 425º, 20 to 25 minutes.
Glaze: Mix powdered sugar with a little milk and glaze the strudel.
