2 large egg whites
2/3 cup sugar
pinch of salt
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup pecans, chopped (optional)
1 tsp. vanilla extract OR 1/2 tsp. peppermint extract

Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg whites to stiff peaks.
Gradually add sugar.
Add remaining ingredients.
Add food coloring if desired.
Drop by small teaspoon onto foil on cookie sheet. (These can be put fairly close together as they do not spread.)
Put in over that has been preheated to 350º.
Turn off heat and Leave overnight.
