1 unbaked pie shell
3 eggs
3 T light Karo syrup
1 cup sugar
1 stick butter
3 squares unsweetened baking
chocolate or 3 T Hershey's Cocoa
1 t vanilla
1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Pre-heat oven to 350º. Melt chocolate with butter. Add all the remaining ingredients. Beat to mix in the sugar well (does not require much mixing). Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake around 45 minutes until knife comes out clean from center. Don't worry if you over cook as a brownie-like crust will form. Serve hot with vanilla ice cream.
