About 4 pears
3 egg whites
3 egg yolks
1/3 c. sugar
1 c. finely shredded almonds

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º. Butter a glass/pottery pie baking dish. Peel and slice pears enough to cover the bottom of pie dish. Whip egg whites completely. Add sugar.
Add egg yolks. Add almonds. Pour mixture over sliced pears. Bake for 10 minutes at 375º. Reduce heat to 325º and bake for 15 more minutes until mixture is not syrupy and a little golden on top.
