2 cups flour
2 cups quick oatmeal
1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 cups butter (melted)

Filling
1 1/2 cups caramel ice cream topping
1/2 cup flour
2 cups coarsely chopped apples
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
350 degree oven. 15x10 pan. Grease the pan and mix all the crust ingredients at low speed until crumbly. Press 1/2 or 2 1/2 cups in bottom of pan. Reserve remaining crumbs. Bake crust 350 degrees for 8 minutes.

Filling
Boil ice cream topping and flour over medium heat. Stir constantly boiling for 5 minutes or until mixture thickens slightly. Sprinkle apples and nuts over warm base. Pour caramel and flour mixture evenly on top. Mix 1/2 cup coconut with reserved crumbs and sprinkle on top. Return to oven. Bake 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown. Cool completely. Cut in bars storing in tightly covered container. Cutting is easier after refrigeration.
