1 can (16 oz) dark sweet cherries (drained)
1 regular size box of cherry jello
2 Tblsp sugar
1 cup boiling water
1 cup cherry juice drained from the can of cherries above (may have to add cold water to make a full cup)
1 can (8oz) crushed pineapple (drained)
3 sliced bananas (optional)
3/4 to 1 cup miniature marshmallows
1/2 to 1 cup chopped pecans
2 cups whipped topping thawed

Mix jello and sugar together. Add boiling water and stir to dissolve. Add cherry juice. Chill to gel (until consistency of unbeaten egg white). Fold in the marshmallows, cherries, pineapple, bananas, pecans and whipped topping. Chill until firm.

This makes a pretty salad and works well in a jello mold. Just remember to lightly coat jello mold with vegetable oil. Salad will unmold nice and easy!
