1 1/2 Sticks butter (3/4 cup)
2 C sugar (for batter)
2 27 oz cans sliced peaches, drained (or 1/2 of #10 can)
2 t cinnamon
1 t almond extract
1 1/2 C flour
4 t baking powder
1/4 t salt
1 1/2 C milk
2 c sugar (for peaches)

Directions:

Melt 1/2 of the 3/4 C butter in each of twod 9x13 pans in 350 oven. Pour sugar, cinnamon, and almond extract over fruit and set aside while sugar melts. (Half sugar and half Splenda works fine with this recipe.)
Mix together dry ingred...stir in milk and mix well.
Pour in center of melted butter from oven. Add fruit evenly around sides of pan. Bake @ 350 for 1 hour.

Two aluminum disposable baking pans are ideal for this recipe...either the lasagna or the small roaster size. Just be careful...even using double pans to add strength...one cobbler buckled in the middle as I took it out of the oven...spilled pie all over Margie's new oven!!!! Putting them on cookie sheets is a good idea.
