Chicken and Rice Recipe

1 stick butter
1 1/2 c rice (Uncle Ben's long grain)
1 cut up fryer
1 pkg onion soup mix
1 can cream of chicken soup
4 c water
salt and pepper to season

Directions:
Directions:
In a 9 x 13 pan melt butter and sprinkle uncooked rice over it. Place chicken on top of rice. Mix soup and water and pour over rice. Sprinkle with onion soup.

Cover tightly with foil and bake one hour at 325º without looking. Turn oven off and let stay for another hour. Never open oven for these 2 hrs.
