Venison, Quail, rabbit, squirrel, duck, or whatever other kind of game you have.

carrots
canned tomatoes
potatoes
cabbage

Directions:
Directions:
Put meat in a kettle and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil, skim off foam. Put 1 tablespoon of salts and 1 teaspoon of pepper for each gallon of liquid. Add onions, carrots, and can tomatoes. Turn heat up, when boiling starts again reduce heat. Stew must simmer a long time. (Put on right after breakfast and let it gurgle all day long) add potatoes and cabbage an hour after the other vegetables.
To thicken put 2 tablespoons of flour in 1/2 cup cold water. Paddle to a thin paste, then dump into the stew when almost done.
