Cream together...
3/4 cup butter
1 cup sugar
add- 3 tbsp. sour cream
3 eggs beaten
2 cups flour
1 tsp. soda
3 tsp. vanilla
1 cup mashed cooked prunes
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup chopped pecans or black walnuts

FILLING-
2 tbsp. butter
2 eggs lightly beaten
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup whipping cream
1 cup prunes
2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
3 layer cake. 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Test for doneness.

Filling:
Cook slowly in heavy small pan just until thickened. Spread between layers and dust top with powdered sugar. Refrigerate improves flavor and texture until next day.
