1 jar (10 ounces) maraschino cherries
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup packed brown sugar
1/3 cup butter,softened
1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2 large)
2 egges
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
3/4 cup chopped pecans

1. preheat oven to 350ºF. Lightly spray 9x5 loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray. Drain cherries, reserving 2 tablesppons juice. Coarsley chop cherries.
2. Combine flour,baking powder ans salt in medium bowl. Beat brown sugar and utter in large bowl with electric mixer until creamy. Beat in bananas, eggs and reserved cherry juice until well blended. Stir in flour mixture,chopped cherries, chocolate chips and pecans just until blended. Pour intp prepared pan.
3. Bake 1 hour or until golden broen and toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack 10 minutes. Remove bread from pan: cool completely on wire rack.
