2 cups flour
1 t. cinnamon
1/2 t. salt, 2 soda
1 Tbsp ginger
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup shortening
1 egg beaten
1/4 cup molasses.

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and shortening. Add egg and molasses. Mix flour, cinnamon, salt, soda and ginger. Add to creamed mixture. Form small balls, roll in sugar. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 12-15 minutes at 350º

Grandma "Mom" made these for the Miller kids a lot. Once I entered the recipe in a contest...Carleen informed me that this recipe is from a Betty Crocker cookbook!!! Funny (by the way, I didn't win)
