3 c. cake four

5 eggs
1/2 tsp. baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Bring all ingredients to room temperature. In a mixer, blend butter and shortening well. Add sugar and mix until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time. Sift flour with baking powder and salt, then add alternating flour and milk. Be sure to begin and end
with flour. Add vanilla last. Don't beat very long after adding flour or your cake will be tough. Spray and flour a bundt pan and sprinkle sugar on top of batter after you put into pan to make a crust. Bake at 300 for 1 1/2 hours. Do not open the oven until the cake is done. Cool completely before removing from pan.
