1 1/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. white corn syrup
3/4 c. water
2 T. butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Candy Thermometer

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, syrup and water in a saucepan and cook until sugar is dissolved. Bring to a boil. Add butter and boil gently to hard ball stage, 250º to 266º on the candy thermometer. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Pour onto a buttered plate to cool. When just cool enough to handle, butter hands and take small amounts and pull candy until it turns white. Store in an air tight container.
