2 1/4 flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 c butter (2 sticks)
3/4 c sugar
3/4 c packed brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla 2 large eggs
2 c chocolate chips
1 c chopped nuts (optional)
* white chocolate or peanut chips can be substituted

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a bowl. Beat sugars, butter and vanilla until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in chips and nuts. Drop by Tbsp onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 9-11 mins or until golden brown.
Remove from pans and cool on wire racks.

Pan cookie variation- grease jelly roll or round pizza pan. Spread dough evenly and bake for 20-25 mins. Cool in pan.
