2 cups dried tart apples or dried peaches
2 1/2 c. water
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Cook fruit in water for approximately 30 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and let stand while you prepare the dough.

Cut the dough into fourths. Spread the fruit on one half of the dough, fold the other side over and use a fork to seal the pie around the edges. Fry each pie in a skillet of hot oil, browning on each side. Drain on paper towels.
