3/4 C. Shortening (may use 1/2 Butter)
1 C. Sugar
2 Eggs
1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
2-1/2 C. Flour
1 tsp. Baking Powder
1 tsp. Salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together shortening and sugar together. Mix in eggs and vanilla until well blended. Stir in flour, baking powder and salt. Chill dough in refrigerator for 1 hour.
Roll dough out to 3/16 inch thickness on a lightly floured surface with a floured rolling pin.
Cut-out dough using your favorite cookie cutters. Transfer to ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake at 400º for 6-8 minutes, do not let cookies brown. Remove cookies to wire rack to cool. Frost and decorate as desired.
