2 c. butter
1 c. sesame seeds
2 c. shredded coconut
1/2 c. finely chopped almonds
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
In large mixer bowl cream butter. Gradually add sugar and continue beating until light and fluffy. Add flour and mix just until combined. Stir in sesame seeds, coconut and almonds just until well mixed. Divide dough into thirds. Place each on a long sheet of waxed paper. Shape each into log two inches in diameter. Wrap and refrigerate until firm (or overnight). Preheat oven to 300º. Cut rolls into 1/4 inch slices. Bake on ungreased cookie sheets 30 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool.

This cookie won contest in the Ladie's Home Journal. Cookie was mong 6,000 entries. I cut it out of the Times Union on December 6, 1983. I love it.
