1 C. Sugar
1 C. Corn Syrup
1/2 tsp. Salt
2 C. Peanut Butter
4 C. Rice Krispies©
1 C. Peanuts, chopped; optional
Frosting:
8 Tbsp. Butter, softened
1/2 C. Brown Sugar, packed
2 Tbsp. Milk
1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
2 C. Powdered Sugar

Grease a 11" x 7" Bar pan.
Bars:
In a large saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, salt and peanut butter over medium heat, until sugar is dissolved and mixture is creamy; stirring often. Remove from heat and stir in Rice Krispies© and peanuts, until well coated. Spread into pan. My helpful hint: Use the inside of a butter wrapper or buttered wax paper to press hot cereal mixture in place.
Frosting:
Combine all ingredients together in a medium sized bowl until smooth. Spread evenly over bars. Chill to set frosting.
