1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. milk or water
2 pkgs yeast( dissolved in 1/4 c. warm water and 2 T. sugar)
1 tsp. salt
3 eggs, beaten fluffy
4 1/2 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Heat water, shortening, sugar and salt. Cool. Mix eggs, cooled mixture and yeast. Add 4 1/2 c. flour. Let double in bulk, about 1 hour. Punch down. (Can refrigerate for up to 8 hours at this point if desired. Take dough out of refrigerator 3 to 3 1/2 hours before baking.) Roll out dough into a rectangle, spread with melted butter, cinnamon and sugar. Roll up and cut into 1 inch slices. Cover and let rise until double in bulk. Bake at 400º for 5-10 minutes. Frost with cream cheese frosting.

Variations: In place of cinnamon and sugar, use 1/2 c. sugar, 1/4 c. melted butter and grated orange peel. Roll into rolls. Glaze: Mix 2 T. orange juice, 1 T. orange peel and 1 cup. powdered sugar.
