3/4 lbs. minced clams or 2 cans
1 c. chopped onion
1 c. diced celery
2 c. diced potatoes
3/4 c. butter
3/4 c. flour
1 qt. half and half cream
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. sugar and pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Combine clams, juice and vegetables in large pan. Add enough water to cover. Cook about 20 minutes until tender. Melt butter and flour. Blend, and cook a minute or two. Add cream, cook and stir until smooth and thick. (Can use a whisk to blend.) Add to veggies and clams and heat. Season with salt, pepper and sugar.
