1 chocolate cake mix
1 (250g) package cream cheese, softened
1 egg
2 tbsp. sugar
1 (19 oz.) can cherry pie filling
1 1/2 cups thawed Cool Whip Whipped Topping
Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350º F. Prepare cake batter as the box instructs, set aside. Mix cream cheese, egg and sugar until well blended. Remove 3/4 cup of the cherry filling for the top, set aside. Fill the cupcake batters about half full. Top with 1 tablespoon each of the cream cheese mixture and remaining cherry pie filling in the middle. Cover evenly the remaining cake batter. Make sure you cover all of the middle filling.
Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool for 5 minutes. When completely cool, top with whipped topping and add as many cherries to the top as you would like. You are ready to serve and eat.
