1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. peanut butter
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. quick cooking oats
1 c. chocolate chips (optional)
Frosting:
2 T. butter
2 T. peanut butter
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
2 1/2 T. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together brown sugar, butter, peanut butter, egg and vanilla. Sift together flour, soda, and salt. Add to creamed mixture; mix well. Stir in oats; pat firmly into greased 15x10x1-inch baking pan. Bake in 375º oven for 12 to 15 minutes. When removed from oven, sprinkle chocolate chips over top; when softened spread with a knife and cool. Frosting: Combine butter, peanut butter, powdered sugar and milk. Mix until smooth and frost cooled cookies. Cut into bars.
