2 c. sugar
1 c. Crisco
4 eggs
2-3 tbsp. pure lemon flavor
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3 tsp. baking powder
1 c. buttermilk ( you can sour regular milk with 1 tbsp vinegar)
4 c. flour
Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and Crisco together. Add eggs, lemon flavor, baking soda, baking powder, buttermilk, and flour. Blend well. Drop on ungreased cookie sheet. Sprinkle sugar on top of cookies before baking. Bake @ 350º until firm, but not brown.
