3 lb. flour sifted, 1 lb. sugar, 1/2 lb. lard, grated rind of 2 lemons, 2 small potatoes boiled and mashed, water from potatoes, 2 packets of yeast in 1 c. warm potato water, 1 1/2 c. raisins, 1 tsp. cinnamon, 12 large eggs.

Make a mound with flour and sugar, mix in all ingredients and work dough and knead until smooth. Place in a greased pot, cover and place in a warm spot until double in bulk. Turn dough out on floured board. Cut pieces and place in prepared greased pans about 1/3 full. Cover and let rise overnight. Bake at 350º about 30 to 35 min.

The recipe says to mix dough at 4 PM, put in pans about 9 PM, and bake early the following morning.
